Ortho48 Keyboard Kit Learn to solder and build a custom keyboard on a budget The Ortho48 v2 is a keyboard kit that contains almost everything you need to build your own keyboard from scratch - just add switches , stabilizers , and keycaps , and you'll be good to go! It's meant to be a great starting point for beginners - this time in ortho layouts! The Ortho48 is powered by an RP2040 onboard microcontroller running QMK with VIA compatibility out of the box. The PCB included supports per-key single color LED backlighting with south facing LEDs, but you'll have to provide your own LEDs to enable them. And because the Ortho48 uses a daughterboard, you can pick if you want your USB port to be on the left side of the board, right side of the board, or right in the middle. What's included 1 solderable PCB S1 Daughterboard and JST Cable 1 FR4 plate 1 FR4 bottom 18 M3 screws, 8 12mm M3 standoffs, 2 nuts You will need a soldering iron, solder, and M2.5 Hex Head Screwdriver to assemble this kit. You will also need to purchase Switches Up to 48 Keycaps Be sure to purchase a keycap set with ortho support, like Stabilizers Optional 1x 2u or 2x2u, dependent on layout
